[CRI032] Acceleration in Astrophysical Environments with CRPropa
CRPropa is a public astrophysical simulation framework for studying propagation and interaction physics of primary and secondary cosmic ray particles. We have incorporated particle acceleration within CRPropa and studied the effects of geometry on the resulting spectral index in diffusive shock acceleration. In this contribution, we present our results and compare them to analytical calculations. In future, this development will allow incorporation of various loss mechanisms, production of secondaries within the simulation model due to pre-existing capabilities of CRPropa.
